About Inner Horizon
Suzanne Clayton, Founder
I initially gravitated toward yoga as a tool for managing anxiety, stress, and physical discomfort. After completing my Master of Arts in Teaching, I followed a long-held aspiration to deepen that relationship through a 200-hour yoga teacher certification. What began as a personal regulation practice became a pathway into guiding others through the interconnected realms of body, mind, and spirit.
Over time, Pilates entered my life as a powerful complement to yoga. I was drawn to its precision, structural intelligence, and emphasis on deep core support—not as a replacement for yoga, but as a way to better understand how strength, alignment, and stability create freedom in movement. Studying Pilates expanded my lens as both an educator and movement practitioner and strengthened my ability to support students in building resilience alongside awareness.
Today, my teaching blends the depth of yoga philosophy with the clarity and strength-based framework of Pilates in a way that honors the integrity of both traditions. Rather than offering watered-down versions of either modality, I design classes that are intentional, dynamic, and responsive—supporting students in developing physical strength, nervous system regulation, and a deeper relationship with their own inner guidance.
I am especially inspired by yogic philosophy and its invitation to live creatively and authentically in the modern world. My goal as a teacher is to help students access their inner wisdom while building confidence in their bodies so that movement becomes not just exercise, but a meaningful practice of connection.
Beyond yoga and Pilates, I find joy in pole dancing, gardening, and exploring new places through travel—experiences that continue to shape my curiosity, creativity, and approach to teaching.
